BUNGUBOX is a boutique fountain pen and ink store founded by Kaoru Yamagishi on February 16, 2012, in Hamamatsu, Japan. Kaoru is a forerunner in the area of designing bespoke fountain pens and inks in Japan, taking high-quality Japanese fountain pens and transforming them into delightful pieces of practical artwork that carry a consistent story throughout their naming, packaging, and design.
Kaoru's mission is to educate, advocate, and preserve the wonderful human skill of handwriting, constantly coming up with new product stories to appeal to an ever-expanding audience.
